This weekend was the San Diego Record Show in Hillcrest. We paid early bird rates to pick through mostly beat up classic rock and over priced punk. Gladly, I stumbled across the vendor with the most 45s who also eagerly kept playing me these amazing 45s which in turn I happily took off his hands. One that I did not buy (a little out of my price league) is today's jam, I've Got Love If You Want It by Slim Harpo. Slim Harpo is one of those great blues musicians from the late 50's/60's that paved the way for later more popular musicians like The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd who were all heavily influenced by earlier blues musicians.
